The piece of furniture with the power to gather friends and family also gets down to business when used as a desktop. Our distinctive, durable tables are fashioned in a size to serve any room and purpose, and in a range of fine woods, including mahogany, black walnut and white oak, or finished in metal such as zinc, or even in glass.

For the dining room of a family with three small children, for example, we created a 10-foot rectangle of black walnut—beautiful, yes, but just as important: it’s a surface that can pass the Sharpie test.

There’s more to making a table the welcoming place you expect it to be than getting its top right, though. To our minds—and knees!—it’s just as important to select the proper leg configuration, an often-overlooked detail.

dining tableFreestanding Tables: Freestanding tables, with chairs around them, have the option of being supported by four legs with stretchers (and we can even add a clever shelf beneath). They can also be supported by pedestals or trestles. All of our table bases can be painted or unpainted, in wood or metal.

Pedestal Tables: As promised, we carefully match surfaces and seating styles. The open bases of trestles or pedestals are the right companions for banquettes and window seats, for example. And we’re particular in another way: Our pedestals hail from restaurant-supply houses—meaning they’re sturdy and stable, with finishes that don’t scuff. They’re also a great value, and can be paired with any size or shape of top.
