At Sally Ross Designs, we like to think beyond the “kitchen island,” that often-hulking installation that can overtake the most-used room in the house. Paired with stools in an eat-in kitchen, one of our work tables will prove a welcome hub of activity without being too insistent or imposing. At 36 inches in height, a work table would likewise be just the solution for a stand-up desk, or a surface for crafting or sewing.
Our basic silhouette can be customized as to scale, finish and hardware, with tops fashioned in stainless or zinc, or from woods including white oak, black walnut, maple, mahogany and teak. We suspect that one of the variations below on our basic work-table silhouette will match your needs, or ask us about a hybrid that combines features from either one.
Work Table with Storage Doors: Beneath this ample work surface, we’ve fitted just the right unmessy-yet-convenient combination of closed and open spaces. Grab that colander or pasta bowl, but hide the dozens of little things that would make for visual chaos.
Open Work Table With Seating: Open up our versatile work table’s base with two slatted shelves, and extend its top with an overhanging shelf, and you’ve got both storage and seating, without sacrificing an inch of work surface.
